The Greatest Work Behind Giving And Receiving – This is what you need to know about
First, let me give you an example so that you can understand what I am talking about when I say the greatest work behind giving and receiving.
Suppose there are ten persons and each of them is given a ball with a number on it. They are asked to remember the number found on their balls and then put them in a bucket. Now, all the balls are in the bucket.
The next thing they have to do is to pick one ball without looking at the number of that ball. So, here each one gets a different numbered ball. For example, a person who previously had a ball with number 1 on it, has now got a ball having number 6 on it. Another person who was holding a ball with number 6 on it, got a ball having number 3 on it and it goes on like that.
Now, these persons are asked to return each ball to their original holders. What happens now is that the person who was holding ball No.1 gets his ball from the person who was holding No.8 before. Another person who was holding ball No. 6 gets his ball from the person who was holding ball No.1 and so on. Finally, everybody gets back their ball.
What happened here is that each of them returned the right ball to the right person but they did not get their balls back from the same person. In fact, each of them got their balls from different persons.
This is the greatest work behind giving and receiving. This is how the Universe works.
How Does The Universe Work?
The same happens with whatever you do in life whether it is giving something to somebody or helping someone. The problem here is that when you return the ball, you expect to receive your ball back from the same person. But in real life, it is not like that. You can’t expect things to happen as per what you think.
The greatest work behind giving and receiving is different from what you think. It is your thoughts that are the roots of your expectations. They make you expect to receive from the same person to whom you have given something. As far as you are concerned, you just have to go on giving as per your capacity and that also without any expectations from that person to whom you are giving.
Your effort in giving will reap its fruits. You will get what you have to get, there is no doubt about that. In fact, you will get more than that if you don’t have expectations.
With Expectations, The Whole Drama Starts
If you are going against the greatest work behind giving and receiving, you are, in fact, creating sufferings for yourself. Yes, this is what happens when you give something to a person and in return you expect the same from him or her. If you are not getting anything from that person, that same person who was your dear friend before becomes your enemy. This is all just because your expectations.
Are you doing things rightly?
With this expectation, you get hurt, feel the pain and you want revenge. So, one negative thought is attracting all sort of negativity and you are finished.
Is it your fault?
This is because no one told you how the Universe works.
Know that when you take revenge and do all sort of bad things to that person, at the same time you are doing bad to you too. In return, you are profusely disturbed, demented, confused. You will ask, ‘Why all these things are happening to me?’ and it keeps getting worst.
Blessings and Good Things
Have you ever realized why sometimes Blessings and good thingshappen to you?
This is because they did not happen just like that. If you do good, you will obviously get what is good only. You are suffering only because you must have done something wrong in the past and it’s coming to you as sufferings now.
If in each and every present moment you do good, then obviously you are creating blessings and good things for each and every moment for the coming future. It is absolutely essential for you to understand this law and accept it in your life while flowing with it. The earliest you start it, the best for you.
This reminds me of a story.
Have you heard the story of Akbar, The Great King?
Akbar, The Great King
One day, Akbar was in his court with all his Ministers. All of a sudden, Akbar slapped Birbal and that also without any reason. Birbal was stunned and in a reflex action, he slapped the person who was standing next to him. That person who got slapped by Birbal, also slapped the man next to him.
A chain of reactions had started and it went on increasing from two slaps to punches and more.
At night, when Akbar came back to his Chamber, his wife pounced on him, hit him with a stick, kicked him, gave him two tight slaps, and punched him. Akbar was furious and he removed his sword to behead the Queen.
At that time, the Queen said, ‘What nonsense is it? You started the game and then, everybody was so excited in the Kingdom thinking that the King had started a new game, so they have to pass it on and on’.
So, beware. Every small act will have unbearable consequences. It will come back to you with vengeance. The slap will come back to you in magnified proportion but never from the same person. You may not even remember what you had started.
Whatever good you are doing will come back to you from unexpected quarters. So, realize it now itself that no one is your enemy and cannot be. In fact, you are your own enemy. The you here is your Ego. Get rid of it as soonest possible otherwise you will have to suffer your whole life.
